Happy Hour on the Pier

Tony and I went to Kincaid’s at the Redondo Beach Pier yesterday for happy hour drinks and appetizers.   We started out sitting outside because the patio is on the water and the fresh air felt good. We decided to go inside to the bar area though because Tony wanted to watch something on TV. I didn’t mind because the bar area was clean, nicely decorated, and the booths were comfy.

We started off with a pomegranate margarita.  The pomegranate margarita was yummy and we also tried the crab and artichoke dip, as well as the smoked salmon. The crab and artichoke dip is served with fresh bite sized sour dough bread and the dip tasted excellent.  The presentation of the smoked salmon was unique. It was not “flakey” like one normally sees in a restaurant instead the salmon was cut into chunks and shaped into a ball. It was topped with sour cream and caviar and served with cucumber slices, dill pickles and potato chips. The salmon tasted good but it was hard for me to get use to the way it looked.

The happy hour was affordable too for both drinks and appetizers.  Kincaid’s would be a nice place to go for a romantic dinner in the dining room also.  Tony and I actually had one our first dates at Kincaid’s.  After that date, things started going well for us. If you want “good vibes” for your future relationship, maybe you should go to Kincaid’s. LOL
